Overview

I am a UKCP-registered gestalt psychotherapist, UKCP-registered supervisor and freelance trainer working in private practice in Edinburgh.  I have been involved in gestalt for around 20 years. I am a qualified GPTI Training and Supervising Member (TSM), with many years experience of running Diploma courses, introductory workshops and postgraduate CPD workshops. I work to the UKCP and GPTI codes of ethics. I was a member of the Edinburgh Gestalt Institute (EGI) training faculty and executive management team for around ten years, until I left in 2017 to create more time for my professional interests including writing. I continue as a guest trainer at EGI.

I am passionate about the possibilities of change and transformation through healing relationship. I enjoy working with a wide range of people and I value diversity. I have particular interests in attachment, trauma and spirituality. Compassion, respect, collaboration, creativity, open-mindedness and ethical practice are important features of my style. I have a degree in Philosophy and English Literature, and I enjoy weaving my interest in metaphor, imagery and language into my work.

As a trainer and supervisor, I love being part of people’s learning experience. I am particularly skilled at linking theory to practice and supporting participants to embody and integrate learning through creative experiential work, group process, skills practice and theory discussion. I have experience of working with trainees working towards accreditation; experienced therapists from various modalities, and coaches/organisational development practitioners.

I am committed to my own personal and professional growth, and enjoy continuing to learn through ongoing advanced training.

When not working, I love playing my flute, meditating, writing, reading, running and being in nature.

If you would like to enquire about working with me, please feel free to get in touch.
