Overview
I hold a Master’s degree in Gestalt Psychotherapy along with a Clinical Diploma from The Metanoia Institute, London. I abide by the code of ethics of the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) which I am a member of. I originally come from the Czech Republic. I work in English and Czech language.
When we exclude parts of ourselves, we leave ourselves feeling incomplete, dissatisfied or frustrated. As a Gestalt therapist, I aim to increase awareness by focusing on the present experience through your feelings, thoughts and senses, your connection with your body, as well as your ways of relating to others. Through exploring and clarification of specific personal situations or feelings, we can gain a better understanding of ourselves and our own needs. As awareness increases, we can open up to the possibility of experiencing and feeling compassion for the aspects of ourselves we find hardest to accept and ultimately aid in healing. As we befriend more of ourselves we are likely to live our lives with more purpose, meaning and joy.
I also offer workshops for mindfulness and meditation focused on self-exploration and how to make use of these practises in every day life.
My private practice is currently based in Canterbury, however, I offer online sessions for the rest of the UK.
