Keynote Speaker

Madeleine Fogarty

We are delighted to welcome Madeleine Fogarty to our 2018 Conference as Keynote Speaker.

In recent years Madeleine’s research work has focused on the development of the Gestalt Therapy Fidelity Scale (GTFS). As our community gathers to consider how we can sustain Gestalt Therapy into the future, we are excited to hear from one of the voices at the forefront of Gestalt Therapy research. The title of Madeleine’s Keynote Presentation is:

‘Politics and Pragmatism in the Development of the GTFS: A Personal Reflection’

Madeleine Fogarty lives (with her large and beautiful family) in Melbourne, Australia where she has been working as a psychotherapist and supervisor in private practice for the past 20 years.  A regular contributor to Gestalt Journals and conferences, Madeleine is completing her Doctorate in Psychology at Swinburne University of Technology on the development and validation of the Gestalt Therapy Fidelity Scale.  Madeleine also runs supervision and training on the use of the GTFS for clinical practice.  Madeleine is the Research chair for GANZ, is on the psychotherapy leadership group for PACFA, on the committee for the International Gestalt Research Group, a member of the AAGT and is a scientific board member for the EAGT.
