Peri Mackintosh is senior psychotherapist at the National Autism Unit, Bethlem Royal Hospital. He specialises in working with less-verbal people with severe and complex mental illness, who are on the autism spectrum. He devised Freeforming Contact Meditation, and pioneered embodied mindfulness approaches in psychiatric units in the 1980’s. He has published chapters and articles on Freeforming and attentional scope. He has choreographed and composed for stage and screen and taught Aikido for 20 years. He loves improvisation and his three children.
